What image comes to mind when we think of the term “archive”?

If we understand archives not merely as spaces or containers in which material is stored, new perspectives and concepts open up: archives as living organisms, as metabolizing organs that, beyond their conservative function, possess powers waiting to be discovered and unleashed.

This project emerged from a critical engagement of the archive of a curatorial student collective, and its history and location within the university. Bringing to the forefront (counter)institutional histories and the potential of intervening within the academic environment.

As part of the framework programme we showed the erformance „to: my future body“ of the educational programme of KW - Institute for Contemporary Art.
